At Brightland, we offer a nurturing, well-rounded early childhood education that combines the Montessori method, thematic learning, and Malaysia’s national preschool curriculum. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to support every stage of your child’s development—intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically.
We believe that every child is unique, and our curriculum reflects this through hands-on learning, exploration, and play, guided by the principles of Montessori, Piaget, Erikson, Vygotsky, and Gardner.
Our Objectives
- To provide a warm, nurturing environment that encourages the development of the “holistic child.”
- To provide an environment that is based on successful experiences, which encourages all children to develop a healthy self concept, and a positive self-esteem.
- To offer an environment that encourages children to develop their capabilities and interests at their own pace and according to their individual needs.
- To offer a program which recognizes the uniqueness of each and every child and provides positive encouragement for the child’s continued growth.
- To provide an environment that provides the child with the opportunity to learn by doing- moving from concrete hands-on experiences to more abstract concept development.
- To provide opportunities for a lifetime of creative living and learning.

Guided Reading
Our curriculum integrates with three different languages of guided reading (Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin) in Brightland. We provide our young readers with materials and instruction that fit their individual levels of development. We believe that guided reading leads to the independent reading that builds the process; it is the heart of a balanced literacy programmes.
- It gives children the opportunity to develop as individual readers while participating in a socially supported activity.
- It gives teachers the opportunity to observe individuals as they process new texts.
- It gives individual readers the opportunity to develop reading strategies so that they can read increasingly difficult texts independently.
- It gives children enjoyable, successful experiences in reading for meaning.
- It develops the abilities needed for independent reading.
Movement Activities
At Brightland, we incorporating movement as part of the daily tools into our curriculum. We believe that getting our children to get up and move is an important aspect to their learning because it can inspire them to think differently, and instead of having a game think for them, they learn how to think for themselves. We always make sure our children have spacious space to MOVE, RUN, JUMP AND PLAY in our safe and conducive environment. We believe that movement is a door to learning! Our movement activities include, music and movements, braingym, sports, water play, ball play, sand play, messy play, slides, obstacle courses and etc.

Guided by Curiosity,
Grounded in Experience.
Our programme also integrated the curriculum by adopting the Montessori method of education. Children in Brightland learn through sensory-motor activities, working with materials that develop their cognitive powers through direct experience: seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and movement.
Events and Cultural celebrations
HAPPY | FUN | WONDERFUL
At Brightland, it is important to undertake cultural celebrations in acknowledging rights and traditions. Our yearly calendar has a variety of monthly events and cultural celebrations which can be acknowledged within our programme and adapted to suit the needs of the children and their families within the service.
